Rumors about the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at Verizon Wireless have come and gone, but the carrier has yet to confirm the phone's exact launch date.

According to the latest Verizon roadmap that leaked earlier this month, Galaxy Nexus is confirmed for a November 21 release, but additional information has just emerged, which might indicate that the carrier decided to push back the launch of the smartphone.

The folks at DroidLife, citing a Verizon insider, claim that the carrier was forced to delay the smartphone due to the fact that an unknown number of bugs has been found while testing the device.

Although we have no confirmation for this piece of information, rumor has it that the next round of tests will be completed on November 19, which is still in line with the November 21 release.

However, word on the street points to an early December release for the Galaxy Nexus, rather than the November 21.

In other news, a Reddit user that was able to play with the device says that Verizon plans to release the Galaxy Nexus on November 18, which is three days earlier than expected.

Reddit user scottg96 claims that one of his friend's mother who works for Samsung is 100% convinced that the Galaxy Nexus will be launched this Friday, on November 18.

So one of my mom's piano students' mom works for Samsung and has a Galaxy Nexus (running on Verizon of course). When she stopped by our house I wanted to take a look at it and she let me do so for a good 15-20 minutes!”

Lastly, I asked about price/release date/hotspot pricing. She said she wasn't sure about the price of the phone or the hotspot functionality but she said it was on track to be released this Friday, 11/18. Now, lots of trustworthy people have said lots of different things but she was 100% convinced and informed that it would be this Friday (and no she wasn't talking about the UK launch, she was specifically talking about Verizon availability in the US).”

Last, but not least, Matias Duarte one of the developers behind the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, recently confirmed for someone close to DroidLife, that the Galaxy Nexus will hit shelves in “November”, but would not go for a certain date.

Stay tuned for more updates on the matter as we receive more details about the upcoming release of the Galaxy Nexus at Verizon Wireless.
