The coming Pokemon Rumble U video game for the new Nintendo console might introduce a Near Field Communication powered platform and a line of toys that will allow it to compete with the recently introduced Skylanders line from Activision.

A report from the Japanese magazine CoroCoro, translated by Serebii, states that when the game launches in the home territory on April 24, gamers will also be able to get the toys and the portal required to use them.

Players will then be able to use physical toys for in-game effects.

The game is supposed to cost the equivalent of 19 dollars (14 Euro), while the actual figures will be sold individually for about 2 dollars (1.4 Euro).

Pokemon Rumble U will also compete with the Infinity series from Disney, which launches later during 2013.
