The Honk Kong website of publisher Sony seems to have accidentally revealed the name and the content of the next piece of downloadable content for Mass Effect 3, saying that it will be called Rebellion and will introduce two new maps, three new weapons to collect and six new character classes to level up.

The page was up only for a limited time but fans were able to get all the details, although so far Sony has not commented on their veracity.

The two new maps are: Firebase Jade, set in a jungle that is probably on a Salarian planet with a reservoir at its core, and Firebase Goddess, set on the homeworld of the Asari, Thessia, which gets thoroughly trashed in the single player campaign.

The six new character classes are mainly built around the new vorcha race, which gets to play as Soldier, Adept, Vanguard and Sentinel.

The introduction of the vorcha, which are depicted as hardy but of limited intelligence during the single player of Mass Effect 3, was hinted as during the official announcement from BioWare for a new multiplayer operation.

The other two classes are the Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator and the three new weapons were not detailed.

Given that the Resurgence Pack was offered for free, there’s a chance that Rebellion will also be given away in order to keep the fan base for the multiplayer modes engaged.

Sony Honk Kong suggested that the launch should be taking place today, which is obviously impossible, but given the leak, BioWare and Electronic Arts might be pushing the launch date forward.

BioWare is also currently working on single-player downloadable content for Mass Effect 3, which is set to expand on the ending of the game and offer more clarity for the fan base.

It will be offered for free at some point during the summer.
