Fans looking for more information on the next Grand Theft Auto game have discovered a number of new casting calls for a project called Rush that suggest it is linked with the new game from Rockstar Games.

Rush is being described as being an “interactive project” and the casting company in charge is Telsey+Company, which has previously done work with Rockstar.

The list of characters includes such descriptions as: “weed evangelist,” “paranoiac living in the sticks,” “somewhat incompetent Chinese mobster,” “FPS playing gamer son” and “disabled IT expert.”

The descriptions sound like something that players would meet in a Rockstar Game Grand Theft Auto game and the last two of them suggest that this time around the story might be linked to the technology world more than in previous games.

A resume for an actress named Shandar Robinson also mentions the Rush project but also talks about the role of an “inner city female street,” which is linked to Take 2 Games, the company that owns developer Rockstar.

Earlier in the month, a number of sites that could be linked to in-game companies that will appear in Grand Theft Auto V was revealed.

Neither Rockstar Games nor Take Two are at the moment commenting officially on any rumors linked to GTA V.

Analysts are saying that the publisher will announce the game at some point during this calendar year, probably at E3, because a contract with the creators of the franchise is set to expire in early 2012.

Soon after the launch of Grand Theft Auto V, it seemed that Rockstar was planning for a sequel to be quickly delivered, presumably set somewhere around Liberty City, exploring the suburb culture of America, but those rumors were quickly squashed.

Other sources are saying that Rockstar is scouting various American cities to find the best city to base GTA V around.
