Mobile phone maker Motorola is reportedly on its way to come to the market with yet another interesting handset running under Google's Android operating system, namely a device that would sport a flip form factor. The handset in question is said to be only in a prototype stage at the moment, and a series of images with it also leaked into the wild, for us to make an idea on what it might look like.

In case the rumors prove real, this would be yet another unique handset Motorola would bring to the market with Google's Android platform on board, following the Motorola BACKFLIP. Moreover, it seems that the upcoming device might come with the company's MOTOBLUR solution, at least this is what the icons that can be seen on its homescreen suggest.

The yet unnamed Motorola Android model resembles in form factor with the Verizon Motorola Krave ZN4. The device should land with a touchscreen display, a transparent cover, and a series of touch-sensitive controls. At the same time, the handset is expected to include a 5-megapixel photo snapper, which should come with 720p HD video recording capabilities.

For the time being, the specifications list of the newly spotted device remain unknown, though rumor has it that it might run under the Android 2.1 flavor of Google's platform. The leaked photos show two data indicators, suggesting that it might come with dual-3G capabilities, though little is known in this area now, and this might be only the result of the handset being unfinished yet. We should also mention that the flipping side of the phone resembles more with a protective cover for the screen.

One way or another, the handset remains on the rumor side for the moment. However, in case Motorola does plan on bringing it to the market at a certain point in the future, additional details on it will certainly emerge, so keep an eye on this space to learn more on the matter. In the meantime, you can head over to it168 to view more photos with the device.
