One of the main voice actors of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series reveals that a fourth game is already in development and that the team at Infinity Ward is in charge of creating it, presumably with a launch date of late 2013.

Bill Murray, who has provided the voice for Captain Price, tells This Is Xbox that, “Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games…”

The Public Relations department at Infinity Ward moved fast to squash the rumors saying that the company “hasn’t spoken with any voice actors” and that all information that does not come directly from the company is just “speculation.”

Modern Warfare 4 will probably use many of the same characters as the other three entries in this Call of Duty line, but it’s not clear who might be the main character, given the events of the third entry.

Infinity Ward was close to disappearing as a developer in early 2010, when company founders Vince Zampella and Jason West were forced out of the company.

They have since launched lawsuits against publisher Activision and have created their own studio, Respawn Entertainment.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be launched on November 13 all over the world, on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360.

A version of the game is also being prepared for the new Wii U home console from Nintendo and will be offered on launch, proof that the new device is able to support such first-person shooter experiences.

Analysts estimate that the game will be the biggest launch of this year and that it will once again power the financial success of publisher Activision.
