A gamer writing on the official Ubisoft forums claims that he has proof that a Ghost Recon: Future Soldier sequel is already in development and might be officially announced during the first few months of 2013.

A reference to a project called GRFS: Next Team was spotted in a slide from the annual meeting of the Kiev-based studio created by Ubisoft.

The team was in charge of the PC version of Future Soldier and it seems that it will play a similar role for the next title in the series.

No information about the potential sequel was offered.

Given the timing, the game might be launched on the next generation of consoles and the PC.

The first Future Soldier allowed players to control a number of operatives, each of them capable of using one special power that could affect the entire squad.
