Rumor Mill: Final Fantasy Versus XIII Drops Name, Moves to Next Gen

Ever since the first installment in the Final Fantasy XIII saga was launched fans of the franchise have asked Square Enix to reveal and launch the companion Versus XIII title.

A recent rumor from a NeoGAF user suggests that the game might never be launched as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis universe and that Square Enix is rebranding it in order to launch it alongside the new Sony home consoles.

A new reveal for the game is supposed to arrive during summer, with a 2014 launch date and with the confirmation that the game will be offered exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

Apparently both Final Fantasy 15 and 16 will be launched on next gen home consoles.

Square Enix has commented via the usual phrase: “Square Enix does not comment on rumour and speculation.”
