Video game publisher Electronic Arts has not revealed any official announcement that Dead Space 3 is in development but this has not stopped sources from claiming that one of the main features of the game might be that main character Isaac Clarke develops a second personality.

A source that is familiar with the development of the game has told Siliconera that Isaac Clarke will have a Shadow personality, which will appear alongside him during the game and will taunt him for his failures.

It seems that the developers will make the second personality very different from the Clarke we have gotten to know during the first two titles in the series and that he will have a physical presence in the game world, with the two having conversations as the action in Dead Space 3 progresses.

It's not clear what caused the split in Isaac's personality and whether it has any connection to the alien technology to which he was exposed.

The previous leak about Dead Space 3 mentioned that Isaac Clarke will be exploring a new ice covered planet, on which his shuttle has crashed.

The new report talks about him being on the run from the authorities and crash landing on the inhospitable world.

Isaac Clarke will be accompanied in his new adventure by two female characters, but it's not clear whether Dead Space 3 will offer full support for cooperative play or will focus only on the gruff engineer.

The two leaks about the possible third game in the horror action series have not mentioned the Necromorphs and the developers could be getting ready to introduce a new alien species for players to fight.

Electronic Arts has not made any official announcement linked to Dead Space 3 but the company has claimed in financial reports that it was interesting in releasing further games in the series.
