A resume from the lead programmer working at developer Ruffian Games suggests that the upcoming Ryse project from Crytek, based around motion tracking via the Microsoft-made Kinect, will have a number of multiplayer modes.

The resume says that Ruffian Games is working on “a multiplayer map for a first person, melee combat game based on the CryEngine,” linked to the Xbox 360 platform.

The game was further described as a “melee combat AI capable of evaluating dynamic combat situations and working as part of a team.”

Crytek has so far only shown single-player content for Ryse, but neither the developer nor the publisher has explicitly said that it will not have any sort of multiplayer mode.

Kinect has so far been used mainly for single-player titles and it remains to be seen whether the motion tracking system can overcome its issues in order to support multiplayer matches.
