An invitation sent out by publisher Electronic Arts suggests that Battlefield 4 will be revealed during the Game Developers Conference, on March 26.

IGN has one of the invitations that the company has sent out. In 2012, Medal of Honor: Warfighter was first shown during the same event, while one year earlier Battlefield 3 got a first look during GDC.

DICE and EA seem to have already put a lot of work into Battlefield 4, which has been shown to a number of industry executives earlier in the year and apparently looks incredible.

The new first-person shooters from DICE will probably be launched on the Xbox 720 and the PlayStation 4 in addition to the current generation of consoles and the PC.

The game experience will be powered by the Frostbite 2 engine.
