Development duties will no longer be handled by Rocksteady

Recent changes that publisher Warner Bros. has made to the official Facebook page of the Batman franchise suggest that the company might be getting ready to reveal the third game featuring the Caped Crusader, simply called Batman Arkham 3.

The fan group at ArkhamCity.co.uk noticed that the official social presence for the series was renamed from Arkham Asylum to Arkham City and then to just Arkham, presumably to better reflect the nature of the coming video game experience.

Early during 2013, Warner confirmed that it was working on a new Batman video game, but it offered no clear details on the product.

Apparently, Rocksteady, the studio that created the first two series games, will no longer be involved, and development work will be handled by Warner Bros. Montreal.

An official announcement for Batman Arkham will probably take place before E3 2013.
