Sony has indicated that Vodafone is the preferred service provider in Australia but it seems that players will be able to use any 3G enabled sim card which offers data access.
The
PlayStation Vita has failed to deliver the successful launch in Japan that Sony was hoping on so the company is now looking to the United States, Europe and Australia to make its new handheld a sales success.
If that fails to happen the company might have to significantly cut the price of the Vita in order to drive up interest.
