Rumor Mill: Android 5.0.1-Based X Phone Spotted in AnTuTu
The benchmarking results for this Google X handset might be fake
Google and Motorola have been long rumored to plan the launch of a smartphone that would bring the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS flavor to shelves, but nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter until now. However, what might be seen as proof of Google’s plans has emerged online in the form of a listing in the benchmarking application AnTuTu, as rbmen reports.
The handset is supposedly called Google X, while the platform version loaded on top of it is Android 5.0.1. The listing also shows a 1.5GHz processor inside the smartphone.
Given the fact that these results might be easily tweaked, we’ll take the info with a grain of salt, though we’ll keep an eye out for more info on the matter.
Said phone could be unveiled in the coming months, if not as soon as next month at Google I/O, as initially rumored.
