Samsung still hasn’t pushed the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system upgrade to all the owners of a Galaxy S III smartphone, but it has already started the work on Android 4.2 for the device.

According to a recent report coming from SamMobile, the new platform release is expected to become available for Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II devices in the first quarter of the next year.

Android 4.2 was made official last week, when Google announced the new LG Nexus 4 smartphone, set to hit the market on November 13 this year.

The new operating system version was made official with some appealing new features packed inside, such as enhancements to the camera, a new look for the notifications system, support for multiple users on tablet PC, a new keyboard, and various performance improvements.
