Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ eldest daughter, Rumer, is just now making her grand entrance in showbiz, with several projects underway and more and more public appearances. Unlike other stars her age, Rumer is not the type to beat around the bush and call things other names than what they have, as Elain Lipworth from You magazine got to find out in a brand new interview with the rising star.

For starters, Lipworth asked Rumer the question that probably was on everyone’s mind: how was it like to find out that her mother, Demi, was dating and got married to a guy so close Rumer’s age? Showing that being to the point was a family trait, the actress admitted to having a huge crush on Ashton before her mother started dating him, which meant that her walls were covered in posters and pictures of the one who would soon become her stepdad.

“Ash was a heartthrob, to me. I had pictures of him on my wall at boarding school and I remember my mom saying that her new ‘friend’ Ashton was going to come and hang out with us. And I said, ‘Whoa, wait – Ashton Kutcher?’ and I kind of freaked out a little bit. I definitely blushed.” Rumer told the magazine, laughing all the way.

However, seeing the special bond that Demi and Ashton shared made things easier for Rumer, she added. “But I got over any strangeness because I’d never seen my mom happier. It was like watching two 16-year-olds who were going to the prom together and were totally in love.” Rumer explained.

As for her celebrity status, which reportedly got her more or less minor parts in several productions thus far, Rumer insisted in the same interview that she was definitely no spoiled brat, as she was neither accustomed to taking things for granted. Being the child of two stars of Demi and Bruce’s “magnitude” meant parents paid more attention to the way their kids saw life, Rumer considered.

“I was not one of those girls who was given a Lexus to drive at 16; I had a Subaru Outback and had to earn it. [When working at Marc Jacobs last year], I didn’t get special treatment. I was on the shop floor selling clothes, and if a customer wanted to try on half the store and then decided not to buy anything, I’d have to pick everything up and put it back on the hangers.” the eldest Willis told the mag.
