On the downside, this also means getting negative media attention. Rumer, the oldest girl, is now at the center of speculation that she’s had major work done on her face, after she posted a selfie on her Instagram in which she barely looks like she did a few years back.
She had her chin shaved down, got fillers, allegedly
The difference between then and now can’t be explained by growing up, Dr. Anthony Youn, a famous Beverly Hills plastic surgeon tells Radar Online. Dr. Youn never met or treated Rumer, but he is confident enough in his experience to go on the record saying that she must have had some kind of surgical intervention just recently.
If she didn’t have her chin shaved down, then she most definitely had fillers, the specialist vouches. “It appears that the increase in size of Rumer’s lips has overshadowed her prominent chin. I suspect that Rumer’s had quite a few injections of filler into her lips, such as Juvederm.”
“They look a bit overdone to me, but the overall effect is probably what she was hoping for. Sultry? Yes,” Dr. Youn continues.

This kind of attention and speculation comes with the territory
Even if Rumer weren’t pursuing a career in showbiz as well and had opted for something that kept her out of the spotlight, she would have still received this kind of media attention. These days, celebrity kids are celebrities by association, whether they want it or not, and female stars in particular are subject to this type of scrutiny.
Then again, even if she had all this work done, she would not be a rare case. In their bid to keep up with beauty “standards,” to fit in, and ultimately to stay relevant, celebrities have been doing the craziest things to improve their appearance.
Whether they’re covering their face in bird droppings or solid gold, injecting poison or silicon, or having someone cut them open and rearrange… stuff there, they’re doing it on the regular. Even with regular people, us mere mortals, plastic surgery no longer comes with the novelty factor it had a few years back.
Today, somewhat disappointingly, you’re “odd” if you don’t get stuff done, be it on your face or other parts of the body.
