Note to Rumer: don't wear pink undies with black cutout dresses!

Rumer Willis, the daughter of famous former couple Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is all grown up and she's determined to prove it. Appearing at the Elle's 5th Annual Women in Music event in Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 22, Rumer left little to the imagination of those in attendance.

We can't actually call it a wardrobe malfunction when you go out in a dress that has essential parts missing out of it and is certainly going to expose your essential bits to the entire world.

The cutout dress trend has been popping up here and there in Hollywood and, whenever celebrities decide to show up for events dressed like this, they always end up showing more than they intended when they left home.

Granted, Rumer is taking things one step further because, up until now, the cutouts were covered with sequined panels, but she isn't doing things in half measures. She decided that the cutout of her dress was going to be simple and, damn it, was going to show off her curves.

Too bad that the curves she intended on showing were covered with a pair of bright pink underwear at the time, and the prying lens of the photographers made sure that those pink things showed up in all their glory for the final shots. Mama Demi must be so proud!

But Rumer didn't attend the party just to show off her lingerie collection, she also stepped up to the plate and delivered a DJ set for the people who were invited. The 25-year-old famous daughter is known to dabble sometimes with music and for this occasion she seems to have followed in Paris Hilton's footsteps.

Speaking of Paris Hilton, she was also caught in a similar revealing outfit a couple of months ago, at a pre-Grammy party, although she chose to go for the pantyless look that showed off some very intimate tan lines.

Sadly, she's by far not the only one to support this cutout dress trend, having several other semi-famous followers in Hollywood, all of whom stubbornly refuse to understand that wearing such dresses in public is an invitation to disasters. Unless, of course, that's exactly the kind of disaster you're looking for when stepping out in front of cameras.

But it's a little hard to believe that Rumer is trying to make a name for herself by showing off her brightly-colored underwear. We'll just put this down to a slip of the dress.
