Royal Heartache: Prince Harry Dumped

Apparently, things are over between the young prince and his girlfriend of three years

Life just seems to have gotten a lot rougher for the younger of Diana's sons, as Prince Harry's girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, has reportedly dumped him. The fact is, the younger prince's relationship with the 22-year-old daughter of a Zimbabwean multi-millionaire has hit rock bottom lately, as the two have been seen sharing less romance and more drama in the past few months. Even worse, Chelsy is also said to be seriously considering quitting her Leeds University law course and returning to South Africa to her family and friends.

Chelsy and Harry have been together for the past three years, and apparently, one of the young couple's troubles originates here. Her friends testify that Chelsy is actually terrified at the thought of being "pigeon-holed as a princess" at such a young age, and has felt the need to "carve her own identity". Another problem seems to come from the fact that while Chelsy studies in Leeds, Harry (who serves as a Blues and Royals officer) is stationed in Windsor, and apparently it's been Kate who has been doing all the traveling to London ever since her Leeds course started.

"She thought that moving to England would bring her closer to Harry but it has had the opposite effect", said a friend. "She hates living in Leeds - it's just the total opposite from the life she led in Cape Town - and is not entirely happy with the course she has chosen to study either. There's no reason for her to stay - and if she has nowhere to study then she might as well move back home".

It didn't help that not too long after he was reportedly dumped by phone, the prince was seen once again drowning his sorrows in alcohol (as has been his habit for quite a while now, unfortunately) in the company of another girl. "That's Harry all over, unfortunately", claims a source. "He is truly besotted with Chelsy. The trouble is that he is also incredibly immature. Going out and getting drunk is his way of letting off steam. He really does need to grow up." Grow up and do something to change Chelsy's mind, quick. "Chelsy is one of the few certain things in his life - she definitely keeps him on the straight and narrow. If he loses her, then God knows what might happen", said a source.
