So…here we are again talking about celebrity style. You might think that I am a big fan of the celeb in the picture but guess what? No…I am not. Her acting skills have never impressed me that much as to become extremely fond of her, not to mention that the word obsessed is out of the question. I'm not saying that she's not talented though because she is and the star performances in 'Lord of The Rings', 'The Aviator' and 'The Life Aquatic' come to support that. It's just that she didn't blow my mind. But fashion sense…well, the girl has got it! Either that or she's got a good stylist (which might be more likely). Anyway, Cate Blanchett, 'cause she is the one I am talking about, knows how to work her outfits.
I have found some pictures of her and Kate Winslet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. They were both wearing a bold blue which made them look like royalty. Their posture only added to the effect of the beautiful dresses. Cate had a body-lined dress with a length of just above the knees and with what seem to be pieces of blue leather arranged in an unusual design. Strapped dress, not a too low cleavage, simply beautiful, isn't it?
No jewelry at all but I guess that's logical as the dress is sufficient to dazzle, no other accessories were necessary. Or maybe the lack of jewelry is meant to attract the attention to the design of the dress instead of to the pieces of jewelry, if there were any. Oh, wait, I think I've spotted something on a finger of her left hand. Yes, I believe that is a ring. Barely noticeable and it doesn't change at all what I've said before.
As to what make-up is concerned, nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. Cate goes for the more natural look to match her hair due, apparently carelessly curled but I bet her hairstylist spent some time on doing that.
The star paired this awesome dress with Christian Louboutin pumps. Inspired choice for they are a perfect match.
While Kate Winslet went for a more classical dress, long and with a simple cut, Blanchett chose the younger look, elegant but not tight. The model on the dress seems to stick with me…coolish, no doubt about it. Besides, I've noticed that the actress has the ability of successfully sporting different styles of various designers. Want to convince yourself of that? Just go
here and see what I'm talking about.
