One day after the official launch on Google Play, The Croods receives its first update. Those who were expecting new content will probably be disappointed to hear that this is just a maintenance update.

Developed by the folks at Rovio, the same team that owns the Angry Birds franchise, The Croods is some kind of freemium game.

Although players will be able to download and play the game for free, some items will require payment with real-life money. Obviously, the in-app purchase option can be disabled from within the application.

According to the developers, the latest update addresses some minor issues in order to improve the player experience.

The Croods 1.0.3 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
