One would imagine a woman as gorgeous as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the model turned actress slash new star of the “Transformers” franchise, and a Victoria’s Secret Angel as well, would never doubt herself in the looks department. One would be wrong to do that.

Rosie is the cover girl for the latest issue of Complex magazine. She also did an interview with the publication, which offers ample opportunity for fans to test her Transformers knowledge and to have a look behind the glossy façade of the life of a model.

For one, Rosie says, she didn’t grow up dreaming of being an Angel for Victoria’s Secret on day. In fact, she was raised on a farm and it just happened that she was signed as a model: a pure accident, if you will.

Then, say what you will about her, but she too has personal insecurities, just like any other woman out there, be it a model or not.

“Well, it’s a day-to-day thing. I don’t feel comfortable in my body today at all,” she says when asked whether being a model means she needed time to become comfortable with her body.

“Any woman will tell you she has her good and bad days, and today I did not feel like I looked my best or felt radiant inside or outside,” she says.

So that should be enough consolation for the most insecure of ladies out there: if Rosie admits to having bad days every now and then, they too are allowed to have them.

In the same interview with Complex, the model / actress reveals she is always trying hard to stay ground so as to not let fame get the best of her.

Perhaps it helped that she had to work so hard to get where she is now; otherwise she too may have forgotten where she came from and who she really was deep down inside.

“That is one thing I’m really thankful for. I’ve had nine years of working before this kind of movie happened to me. I’m really glad I’ve had struggles in my career,” she says.

“When success finally hits you, it helps put things in perspective. We’re so small. You see these kids get success straight away or they grew up with it, and I feel for them ’cause how do they gauge any sense of reality?” Rosie asks.
