The peripheral employs Cherry MX Red switches and 10-key rollover

Gaming keyboards are high-tech and versatile by definition, but there are always things that can be improved, elements that can be taken to extremes. This can easily be seen on the Rosewill RGB80.

A mechanical keyboard with 80 keys, what the new peripheral takes to the logical extreme, so to speak, is color customization.

Well, not quite, since the keys aren't all colored differently. There's another keyboard (well, key set) that is like that, but we'll check it out later.

In this case, the RGB80 keyboard allows owners to choose the color of the backlight beneath the keys. Also, the WASD keys, the ones used most often in PC games, stand out amongst the rest, as the photos show.

There are, in fact, 8 backlighting modes and 5 profiles that you can store onboard. Unfortunately, Rosewill did not go into many details about that, though it did mention the 10-key rollover (up to 10 keys can be held down at once without the system choking).

Sadly, the price of the Rosewill RGB80 was never mentioned either, which is a shame. Hopefully retailers will add this thing to their online lists soon. Having something you can adjust to shine in any of the 16 million RGB color combinations will definitely add some flavor to late night game sessions.
