South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is set to bring its Galaxy S 4 flagship Android-based smartphone to shelves around the world before the end of this month, yet it seems that a rooting method for it has been found before it went up for purchase.

Enthusiasts have already managed to find a way to gain superuser access on the Exynos 5 Octa 8-core version for the device, and they have already published details on how this can be done, as AndroidAuthority reports.

All the available info on the matter can be found on this forum thread over at the XDA-Developers, where the necessary files for rooting the smartphone are also available for download.

However, given that the method will work exclusively on the 8-core variant of the flagship Android handset, only a small number of users will actually be able to take advantage of it.
