In this modern age of extreme narcissism, shameless fame-whoring and constant attention-seeking, it's nice to see younger, more down-to-earth stars sticking together, in no way seduced by the over-hyped aura of the Hollywood "sex, drugs and rock and roll" generation. The British actors of the multi-billion dollars "Harry Potter" franchise are a good example of rising stars diligently keeping themselves off the naughty list. Not only are they keeping themselves away from Britain's notoriously troubled party scene, but they also seem to be mainly focused on working and advancing their careers rather than coming back home on all fours every morning. And surprise, surprise - it looks like Lindsay Lohan might finally have met a guy she can't get into bed with her in less than two hours.
Despite achieving huge popularity both in Britain and abroad, the three "Harry Potter" lead actors are keeping both feet firmly on the ground. Daniel Radcliffe, who portrays Harry, is currently pursuing his acting career both on the silver screen and on the Broadways stages, to considerable critical acclaim. Emma Watson, who portrays Hermione Granger and who recently turned 18, has just been given access to her impressive $20 million fortune, but only under her parents' strict supervision, and even got lessons in money management by the bank that manages her finances. And finally, actor Rupert Grint, who portrays Harry's wizard friend Ron Weasley, has just gone on record to state that Lindsay Lohan can't act. You just gotta love these kids.
"I met Lindsay last summer and she talked about herself a lot," Grint stated for British tabloid The Sun. "She said she was going to win an Oscar before she turns 25. I just kept thinking, 'But you can't act'. I haven't met Paris and don't want to either. She and Lindsay are the type of girls you need to stay away from," he added. Well, what can we say - looks like Lindsay will not be performing any magic tricks on Grint for years to come. Of course, we'd all expect her to take offense in being told she can't act, but that probably wouldn't even register with her. After all, she's too much in awe with her own greatness to notice such an insignificant thing as the lack of her own talent.
