In front of Bill Gates

Fear not America, we've got a George W. Bush clone right here! Well, he's a former sailor as opposed to an ex oil man, but yours drove the companies he lead to bankruptcy and ours lost the whole Romanian fleet, which wasn't much to begin with. I think we still got one submarine left, be advised, we are a strong military and naval presence in the Black Sea. And oh, yes? ours was captain of an oil tanker? see how it all fits into place?

His name is Traian Basescu, the President of Romania (AKA Baselu'). (applause please!!!)

This week, Baselu' stood face to face with Microsoft Chairman and Cofounder Bill Gates. And with his mind lost at sea? with a romantic look in his wide opened eye as if he was gazing over the deck of the oil tanker, under the spotlight as he once stood under the sun at sea, with the air conditioning blowing through his hair(!) - the breeze of the ocean?

Lights, camera, action:

"A bad thing, piracy, became in the end an investment in friendship toward Microsoft and Bill Gates, an investment in educating the young generation in Romania which created the Romanians' friendship with the computer. Piracy helped the young generation discover computers. It set off the development of the IT industry in Romania. It helped Romanians improve their creative capacity in the IT industry, which has become famous around the world ... "said Baselu'.

This is the moment when Bill Gates got a mental blue screen. You know? the ubiquitous error blue screen in Windows. His mind actually shut down and was rebooting.

What? Inarticulate, illogical, confused, incoherent and unintelligible? Basescu's speech? If that would only be the case! Who wrote Basescu this error message he mistook for a speech? I would want to ask you? Are you proud of yourself? Was it a collaboration? Did you use both cerebral hemispheres to author this example of a new standard for mental retard? Did it hurt?

No matter. The whole world heard it, from Reuters to the New York Times. And I actually came across comments that praised the truth of Basescu's words.

Right? Let me make this as clear as possible?

Piracy is an investment because it helped educate Romanian youth and befriended them with the computer? Prostitution is an investment because it educates us to better love women? Guns are an investment that helps us respect the dead? Abortion is an investment that makes us love our children? Terrorism is an investment because it has educated us to better secure our airports?

Do you see a pattern here? The only explanation that I could come up with is the fact that Basescu went from sailor to pirate in the presence of Bill Gates. As for the rest? Basescu's words speak for themselves? such eloquence, such flawless logic, such discursive perfection? (applause please!!!)
