Not that much time has passed since Roku released upon us its latest trio of media streamers and the company has recently announced they will add Hulu Plus support to all of their streamers (including the Netgear branded ones) starting this fall, to spice things up a bit.

This will add to an already impressive number of media services, the new Roku units coming with support for Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand, MLB.TV, Pandora, MP3tunes, MOG, and RadioTimewhile while also providing access to photo and video sharing from Flickr and Facebook, to name just a few.

For those of you that are not familiar with Hulu Plus, this service brings you some of the most popular series aired right now such as Glee, The Office or Family Guy, current episodes as well as older seasons being available for $9.99/month.

However, there are some rumors out there stating that Hulu's latest service, Plus being launched at the end of June, will get a price cut, making it available for $4.99 a month sometime this fall.

Add to that a $59.99 Roku HD and it becomes clear this will get you incredible value for your money, the HD coming with 720p video playback support as well as Ethernet and HDMI connectivity.

Going for a 1080p capable unit, such as the XD or XDS, will also come pretty cheaply, these being available for $79.99 and $99.99, respectively.

“We’re thrilled to be able to provide Hulu Plus subscribers with the most inexpensive device to stream Hulu content to their TVs,” said Anthony Wood, founder and CEO of Roku.

“Hulu continues to be an amazing innovator in online entertainment, and Roku is an ideal platform to bring their content back to the living room and high definition televisions where it is best viewed.”

End of it all, I have to admit that I am really impressed by the value offered by Roku with the HD, XD, and XDS media streamers, this Hulu Plus announcement just making this trio a lot more attractive. (via slahgear)
