Developer Cellar Door Games announced that its hit indie title Rogue Legacy will be finding a home on all PlayStation platforms at the end of this month, on July 29.

Rogue Legacy is already available on Windows PC, Mac and Linux, and the porting job for PlayStation platforms is being done by Abstraction Games.

The tiny roguelike game takes a bit of a novel stance on the ancient mechanics of dying and starting all over again from scratch, navigating endless procedurally generated labyrinths, by allowing a descendant of the character that just got offed to pick up the adventure.

Every child has his own unique genetic traits, from dwarfism to being a myopic wizard, offering a slightly different experience with every playthrough. In addition to this, in order to make things a bit easier for struggling players, all the money earned during your foray into the unknown is passed on to the next generations, giving them better weapons and armor with which to brave the many dangers that lurk in the dungeon.

"When we originally made Rogue Legacy, we made it with the PS Vita buttons in mind. No joke. We gambled that if it did well, we wouldn't want the Vita version being nerfed in the control department, so we made sure to not use too many buttons. That crazy gamble we made over a year ago paid off, and that means the Vita version plays perfectly! Happiness!" Teddy Lee, game designer at Cellar Door Games, says in the PlayStation Blog announcement.

Rogue Legacy is coming to PlayStation platforms with a bunch of improvements, such as cross-buy between all three versions of the title, as well as cross-save functionality that allows you to save the game on your big screen and pick it up on the Vita when you're on the go.

Furthermore, every single feature that is available in the PC version is also available in the console editions, complete with each and every patch, which means that when the game comes out, you'll be getting the full experience right from the get-go.

Of course, the roguelike platformer will come with full Trophies support, including a Platinum Trophy that is very hard to get, and will also include a bunch of different languages for those who opt not to use English as their primary, including Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish.

Rogue Legacy is coming out for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms on July 29.
