Rogue Legacy, a 2D platformer with a rogue-like design developed and published by Cellar Door Games, has confirmed the fact that a Linux version is in the works.

Rogue Legacy has been described by its developers as a genealogical rogue-"LITE" game. This means that each time the main character dies, his (or her) child will continue the adventure. Each child is unique and the gameplay will evolve on a constant basis.

There was no word about a possible Linux version, but the developers have confirmed for joystiq.com that a Linux version is in the works and that they are trying hard to integrate the latest patch.

There is no specific information about a release date, but more details about Rogue Legacy will be made available. The game should arrive on the Linux version of Steam.
