For all those who purchased a device prior to June 7, 2010

Canada is one of the 17 markets where the Apple iPhone is set to become available for purchase from July 30. Apple has just announced the move officially, and wireless carriers in the country seem set to offer special promotions to users interested in the new flavor of the handset. Among them, we can count Rogers, which came up with an offering aimed at all of its customers who purchased a mobile device prior to June 7, 2010.

The Rogers iPhone Training manual shows that the company intends to put in place the aforementioned offer, a recent article on iPhoneinCanada reads. According to info received by the news site, Rogers intends to offer the new iPhone 4 at a discounted price tag for all of its customers who purchased a smartphone, a features phone or a quick messaging device. Specific details on the matter are not available at the moment, but it shouldn't be too long before the company would make them available, it seems.

Here's what a leaked document from Rogers reportedly states:

Last year, Rogers provided a special iPhone upgrade that gave iPhone 3G owners the chance to upgrade to iPhone 3GS before their normal hardware upgrade eligibility. This year, we’re doing it again – and we’re expanding it to give millions more customers the chance to get an iPhone 4 at a discounted price! Every Rogers customer with a smartphone, quick messaging device, or regular cellphone (purchased on contract before June 7, 2010) is eligible for a discount on a new iPhone 4!

At time of launch, an eligibility tool will be introduced on Rogers.com that allows customers and sales representatives to validate their eligibility for exclusive offers and discounts based on their profile. The link (and all additional HUP information) will be available in Sales Central, so keep an eye out for it!

It is not unusual for Canadian mobile phone carriers to deliver specific details on their offerings at the very last minute, and we might see this happening with Rogers and iPhone 4 too. The new Apple device won't be available for pre-order at the operator, it seems, while specific info on the pricing of the device should be made official close to the release date.
