The new application will enable access to users' HD PVR from anywhere

One of the latest applications that BlackBerry handset owners can enjoy on their devices is the Rogers Remote TV Manager, which was meant to enable users enjoy access to their HD PVR from anywhere.

The new mobile application was made available only for the Rogers model 8300HD PVR at the moment, but the company promises support for the 8642 HD PVR model in the near future.

Users who would like to benefit from what the application has to offer to them will also need to have a Rogers digital television service subscription.

“Forgot to schedule a recording? The Rogers Remote TV Manager is the BlackBerry app for you,” the application's description in the BlackBerry App World reads.

“Rogers customers now have the freedom and flexibility to manage their HD PVR from anywhere. It’s easy convenient and free!”

The new application was released with support for the BlackBerry OS platform 4.6 or newer, and will also need a MyRogers account for the use of the associated service.

Those BlackBerry users who would like to take advantage of this mobile software's capabilities but do not have a said account can register on Rogers' website.

Some of the main features that the new Rogers Remote TV Manager application arrives on shelves with include:

- Advanced search to help find what you want faster - Easily schedule recordings - Manage your recordings without being in front of your TV - Browse the on-screen guide to find your favourite shows - Assists you in resolving any recording conflicts - Quickly see how much space is available for recordings - Available on all Wireless Networks - Works with WiFi as well as with your mobile network.

As stated above, the new Remote TV Manager application was already made available via Research In Motion's Blackberry App World. Users will be able to download it for free from the said app portal here.
