Rogers has finally taken the wrap from its “Rogers One Number” service, which allows its customers to make calls, send pictures or text, or video chat from a computer using their phone number.

After a beta testing period that allowed the carrier to fix most of the issues, the service is now going live and is available for free to all Rogers customers.

According to the folks over at MobileSyrup, this service is not available to Fido customers. For the time being, only Rogers PostPaid customers who own a “Rogers One Number web phone” can register for this service.

Keep in mind that all conversations, texts or video chats managed from the computer via the phone number are free of charge. Mail management is only limited to Gmail and Yahoo! Services for the moment.
