Canadian carrier Rogers has just announced plans to increase Internet speed for some of its data plans.

Starting November 7 customers who subscribed to Extreme Plus, Extreme and Express plans will benefit from increased download speeds.

The following changes are expected to take effect within the next few days:

- Extreme Plus: download speeds will increase from up to 32 Mbps to up to 45 Mbps;
- Extreme: download speeds will increase from up to 28 Mbps to up to 35 Mbps;
- Express: download speeds will increase from up to 18 Mbps to up to 25 Mbps.

The upgrade is only available to Rogers customers who own DOCSIS 3.0 modems beginning November 7.

Owners of DOCSIS 2.0 modems are required to head over to the nearest Rogers retail store and upgrade their devices and service plan in order to take advantage of the increased speeds.
