Although the EVO 3D and Optimus 3D smartphones are available for pre-order at Rogers for some time, it appears that Best Buy managed to grab a stock of these first 3D phones available of the market.

It's still unclear if Best Buy will be able to put both smartphones on sale ahead of the official launch at Rogers, but that's exactly what the retailer says in a recent statement.

Best Buy Mobile, the mobile specialty retail unit of Best Buy Canada, announces the launch of the first 3D phones, the HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D, beginning today at all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile locations. Both phones are available on the Rogers network.”

Customers who already made pre-orders at Rogers may want to cancel and try to get any of these smartphones $50 cheaper than the carrier's price.

According to Best Buy, the HTC EVO 3D retails for $99 on a 36-month plan, while the LG Optimus 3D is available for $49 on a 36-month plan, both on the Rogers network.

While the HTC EVO 3D is equipped with 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 dual-core processor, the Optimus 3D features a slightly slower 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 TI OMAP4430 dual core processor.

Furthermore, the Optimus 3D packs 512 MB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, while the EVO 3D embeds only 1GB of internal memory, but has 1GB of RAM.

The Optimus 3D's 4.3-inch 3D LCD capacitive touchscreen features support for 480 x 800 pixels resolutions, while the EVO 3D supports slightly higher 540 x 960 pixels resolutions.

Both phones will be delivered with dual 5-megapixel stereoscopic 3D cameras, so users will be able to capture crystal-clear 3D images and record 720p HD 3D videos.

Another major difference between the two is the fact that the Optimus 3D is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo, while the HTC EVO 3D comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out-of-the-box.
