Although the Galaxy Nexus was among the first to receive an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade, Rogers decided to discontinue the smartphone in order to make room for new devices that will be announced at this year's IFA trade fair.

However, Android enthusiasts who still want to purchase the Galaxy Nexus will be able to do so via Fido. Check it out here.

The handset is currently available for $600 CAD outright, but customers who don't mind committing to a long-term contract can grab the Galaxy Nexus for only $30 CAD.

Rogers confirmed the information in the following statement: “Effective immediately the Galaxy Nexus (NEXUSGBLK) is no longer available to be ordered on Rogers. It will continue to be available on Fido.”
