Bad news for BlackBerry fans in Canada who expect the latest Z30 smartphone to arrive at Rogers, as the carrier has just confirmed that it won’t sell the full-touch BlackBerry handset.

CrackBerry reports that a Rogers spokesperson has commented on the matter, saying that “we believe we can fulfill our customers’ demand for a BlackBerry device with our current lineup.”

That being said, Canadians will only be able to pick this one up from TELUS, Bell, SaskTel, MTS, Best Buy and Future Shop.

I guess there are plenty of places where one can get the Z30, but Rogers’ decision seems to prove that the carrier is not willing to take any risks seeing how hard it is to get rid of BlackBerry devices these days.

On the same note, T-Mobile USA has already announced that it won’t be carrying other BlackBerry smartphones and Sprint has confirmed that it’s currently assessing the situation and will decide soon whether it will continue to offer its customers BlackBerry handsets.
