It seems that Rogers Wireless is determined to make its customers rejoice this summer, as it plans to both release a series of new and attractive mobile phones and make some changes to its plans. The devices that will hit the carrier's airwaves include the HTC Dream and HTC Magic, the first two handsets in the world to run under the Android operating system, as well as a few other phones, the pricing of which has been newly unveiled.

When it comes to the two Android-based mobile phones, it seems that the operator will have both of them available for purchase with a price tag of $649.99 in full retail, but it will also offer them for those who would like to sign up for a new agreement. According to some leaked info on Rogers' plans, the handsets will run for $199.99 with a 3-year contract, but the price might change before the phones become available, which should happen as soon as June 2.

Other handsets that should make their way to the company's lineup include the LG Rumor 2, which is expected to come on May 25 with a $75.00 price tag on a two-year contract, or $160.00 contract free (though it is unlikely, as Bell has been reported to offer the phone for $269.95 in full retail), or the Sony Ericsson C905, which should have arrived on May 19 for $449.99 ($249.99 with a 3-year contract), but has been delayed.

Another device that is expected to reach the carrier in the near future is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, which should arrive on June 30, but might also get delayed. There are no exact details on the price tag this phone should sport at launch, yet it might range between $649 and $749 on full retail, while rumored to cost $299.99 with a three-year contract. Additionally, Rogers Wireless might also launch the iPhone sometime in July or August, and we learn that the device will also go on sale with a 3-year contract agreement, though no price has been disclosed.

Besides the nice phones that should come to the carrier in the near future, it seems that there will also be some plan changes that it intends to make soon, such as the addition of a $45 plan that includes 350 minutes, nation-wide evenings and weekends, and 1,000 texts. At the same time, the company might relaunch the 6GB/$30 data promotion that was introduced last summer, in an attempt to boost the adoption of smartphones like the HTC Dream and Magic.
