They sport Microsoft Exchange support

It seems that the non-Google fever for Android-based mobile phones is extending through wireless carriers around the world, probably due to the fact that the devices that come without the Google branding include more features than the rest of the line. This time we hear that the HTC Dream and Magic that will reach Canada via Rogers will not come as Google phones.

As many of you might already know, there is a little bit of a difference between the phones that come with the “with Google” branding and those without it, mainly in the fact that the latter are HTC-modified models that include support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as a much-improved camera application.

Given the fact that carriers around the world can decide what phone models they wish to launch, some of them opted for the non-Google variant, and Rogers seems to be one of them. According to the news, the Canadian HTC Dream and Magic will be able to offer business users more functionality than the Google-branded counterparts.

Based on previous repots, the two Android-based mobile phones coming from HTC will become available for purchase as soon as next week, and we should be able to see then what novelties they will deliver to Canadian users. However, knowing what the non-Google HTC Magic available in Asia was already stated to offer, we can say that users won't be disappointed at all.

As for the price that the handsets will come with, it seems that the mobile phone carrier is set to have both of them available for $649.99 in full retail, though they are expected to be put on sale with a 3-year contract agreement as well, in which case they should cost only $199.99.
