Reputed games developer Rockstar has just revealed, besides the fact that it is quite pleased with the stunning success of its most recent Red Dead Redemption title, that it still has quite a few ideas that didn't make it into the final project.

Without a doubt, one of the biggest games to appear last year was Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, coming from the company's San Diego studio.

The game impressed with its stunning story, great gameplay and realistic graphics, not to mention a very addictive multiplayer mode.

As you can imagine, fans have been clinging to every word coming from Rockstar that might confirm that a sequel is being worked upon.

Now, the company has decided to offer a few brief statements that tease at the possibility of a another Red Dead title.

When talking with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Rockstar's vice president of product development, Jeronimo Barrea, said that on every game the company developed, a lot of ideas didn't make it into the final product.

"For all the games we work on, we have a massive number of ideas that [don't] make it in."

As you can imagine, this leaves the possibility to see some of those ideas implemented in another game.

Barrea then thanked the fans for promoting Red Dead Redemption through word-of-mouth, guaranteeing a massive success for the title.

"[We're most pleased] either that huge numbers of people loved the game enough to play through to the end, and then encouraged friends to play it - we hope without spoiling the end for them - or at a more basic level... that we could convince that many people that they wanted to play a game about the wild west," said Barrera.

Rockstar San Diego declined to reveal their next project, but it's safe to say that a sequel to Red Dead Redemption is in the works at the company.

Rockstar was right in that there's only so many ways to do things concerning the old west and they pretty much covered them all. The story was what surely drove the pace of the game in such a huge map, it could never have worked like the original GTA games - there's missions out there, go collect 'em all!

As such, I'd love to see another game that moved you around the world as the story progressed and never let you lose the plotline, though on my first RDR playthrough I thought it took an awful long time to spell out the actual story. How about a story revolving around the great Montana Land Grab (was it Montana where they had to actually race to stake their claim?)

Two tiny things I believe they should add? Concealed derringers on their own hotkey that are meant only to be used in emergency during those long reloading spells, only 2 shots and only up-close, but packing a wallop, as a good derringer should. Also, custom large loop repeaters that can be twirled around John Wayne style. I don't know how they missed out on that one!

in red dead redemption make it continue with jacks story and give him a wife and kids and a dog, and turn beechers hope into a ranch with more houses. maybe put seasons in there spring, summer, fall and winter that would be pretty cool, and maybe at the end jack could go o his fathers grave and maybe john will come out as a ghost and have a chat and the credts wil roll and we can play in free roam. and dont kill jack at the end of the game, try some of my ideas please.
