After initially trying not to give to much attention to the accusations related to the Hot Coffee mod, which activates certain pornographic mini-games from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Rockstar Games has finally decided to come with a statement in which it says that the source code has been altered.
In this moment, Rockstar Games is already being investigated in the US and in Australia and no official statement has been made yet on the results of the investigations.
It's interesting to notice that Rockstar Games didn't mention anything about taking any actions against the one or the ones responsible, who are generally referred to as hackers, for the HotCoffee mod and only said it will try to improve the source code's security.
All this controversy that revolves around Rockstar Games will make other producers think how they can better protect their games from being altered and not only how to take measures to prevent the illegal multiplication.
We are curious to see ESRB's reaction to this, Rockstar Games saying that they are working with the organization to find out what happened to those mini-games.
All we can do is hope that all this has been only a storm in a cup of coffee and that Rockstar Games will successfully solve this content related incident.
