14 DAY TRIAL // Grand Theft Auto V has managed to once again top the charts when it launched on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and the development team at Rockstar is celebrating the gamers’ role in its newfound success by showing a number of videos that have been created by the community using Freemode and the new first-person mode.
The official site says that these are the best videos players have managed to create and that all those who put together their own highlight reel should forward it so that it can be showcased in later posts.
The list of the featured videos includes:
- Los Santos By Night by The XXI – focused on downtown Los Santos and East Vinewood and the after-hours action; - A Whole New (Gen) World | GTA 5 Aladdin Song from 8-BIT BASTARD – a film parody complete with its own song; - GTAV Online | From PS3 to PS4 created by Kokonitos Vids – a first person video that features some solid use of time lapse; - GTA V (PS4) Time-Lapse - The Beautiful Game from ThirstyHyena – featuring landmarks and building interiors; - GTA V Next Gen - Driving Time Lapse - World in Motion from SA96HD – 5 minutes of footage that show one full day of driving around; - GTA 5 PS4 Day One - Freestyle Daytage (PS4 BMX/Drifting/Sanchez) by Fishy Dizzle – first-person excitement; - GTA5 Next Gen: Skydive - 1st Person Stunt Montage by ash0191 – a first-person dive through the Liquor Hole location sign; - GTA V - First Person Scorcher Tower Wallride (Slayer's Ethos Spot) created by VaNilla – a drop from the Union Depository; - Free Fall Through Vinewood Sign - 1st Person by Richard Boylan – pretty self-explanatory.
GTA V aims to empower the player community
Since Grand Theft Auto V was launched, the development team at Rockstar has sought to empower the player community as much as possible, allowing them to create their own content and to then share it.
This means that the studio can focus on adding more features to the core game and the Online mode.
When the open world title appeared on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, the big and widely expected Heists update was delivered.
Rockstar says that it is working on more expansions, which will probably be offered in the spring of 2015.
At the same time, rumors are suggesting that the company is also preparing a single-player-focused expansion, which will probably introduce at least one new playable character.
