Not that the world didn't know already about the exclusive content

Not very long ago, gaming sites all around the globe posted news on Take-Two's intentions (implicitly Rockstar's) of launching exclusive GTA IV downloadable content for the Xbox 360. That's right, the PS3 isn't getting it (not for now anyway). However, more recently, Rockstar's spokesperson Simon Hosi made a very... (I don't even know what to call it) statement, regarding the Xbox 360's exclusive content and how console owners will have a better time.

First things first. As I mentioned above, some while ago a Take-Two spokesperson, confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that the episodic content in the scope for Grand Theft Auto IV would be released for Xbox 360 gamers alone. Apparently, there had been plans for an exclusive deal for quite some time, following the release of Take-Two's Q2 financial report on Tuesday. The same report confirmed that the episodic content would be released for the Xbox 360 system, during the company's 2008 fiscal year, with no mention of a PlayStation3 release.

Back to our story. Here's what Rockstar hints at when it comes to the 360's exclusive pack: "They're identical games, said Rockstar's spokesperson Simon Hosi. "We're not hardware makers, and we're not like a pawn between these companies, we try not to be as much as we can. We make great games for people to enjoy on whichever system they want. But I guess if you want the complete experience with the episodes, then yeah, you should buy the 360, I suppose."

Nice way of putting it, Mr. Hosi. We know already, it's not like anyone has to come and say that you need a 360 for the EXCLUSIVE downloadable content anymore. But hey, I guess they want to make sure that the extra episodes sell. OK then, what are you waiting for? You heard the man, go get yourself a 360, pronto!
