Rockstar's Uncut Version of Manhunt 2 Revealed in a Sick Video

This is way too much for anyone's eyes to see. Readers of this piece of news, I'm going to tell you this right from the beginning: the Manhunt 2 gameplay footage available below, depicting what the BBFC called 'cumulative casual sadism' when banning it from the market, is in no way good for those not Mature. And to think that the ESRB defended the game just recently...

As I'm sure you've already skipped to the viewing part, I can only hope you've returned to the
reading so I can share a few impressions with you. First of all, if you ask me, the way the game performs in its censored version is still not appropriate for a great percentage of people. Keep in mind that you don't have to be mentally ill to act funny because Phat Billy stole your lunch money and mocked you in front of your girlfriend back in the 8th grade.

If that's you, something like this can set you off pretty fast. And there's a very simple reason for that too. Manhunt 2 isn't the only product depicting violence and pure sadism on such a scale. Movies do that too. Aaa, but there's a difference. Movies have context - deep and disturbing plot, which addresses the matter more deeply. In short, a character in a movie should have a pretty good reason to perform these kinds of actions on their victim (aside being insane) like revenge, for example. A person looking for revenge will not only be very determined when killing someone, but will do so with great pleasure and anticipation.

In Manhunt 2, the anticipation is there, as you stand behind your victim thinking of ways to render them headless, but the context is way too shallow for someone to perform kills in such a manner and more than that, repeatedly. The Project doesn't tell that side of the story. It's merely an excuse to get to the hacking and slashing part as soon as possible. And keep in mind that the game's Wii version actually requires you to perform the real hack & slash movements in order to achieve a gruesome kill. Thank God modders didn't get to that one before this video went out.

There are millions of frustrated teenagers out there, eager to get back at someone. Whether Jack Thompson is crazy or not in his attempts to bring Rockstar down, whether child advocates look like sissies to you for begging parents not to buy Manhunt 2, or whether you consider this freedom of speech, our advice is that you play the game the way the ESRB intended you to play it, if you're not of appropriate age. That and don't watch the video below. Honestly!

To be honesat i cant see what all the fuss is about - it not exactly anything we as adults have never seen before. Yes in the hands of those underage it could be damaging, but that is more about how the parents monitor childrens game/movie watching. Adults should be allowed to make the choices of what video game they wish to play and if it is mature content let the mature adults make their own mind up.

Ok first off...I'm so sick of people complaining how violent the game is. It's your choice to buy it or not, if you don't like it BUGGER OFF. Jason voorhees has no GOOD reason why he kills people in the flicks he just does it. I will say here I am a messed up individual, BUT you don't see me slicing peoples throats in my spare time. And Secondly IF your going to make a game about MURDER go all the way through with it and don't censor it like a pansy...It just ruins the whole point and fun of the game which frankly is....MURDERing people.
