The free version of Rocket Music Player for Android devices has just been updated with support for more audio formats. In addition, the latest update brings tag editing and Intel (x86) support.

With Rocket Music Player 1.3.0, users will be able to add new audio formats onto their phones, including Apple Lossless (alac), APE (ape), Musepack (mpc), Free Lossless Audio Codec (flac), True Audio (tta), Waveform Audio File (wav), and Windows Media Audio Non-Lossless (wma).

However, all of the above formats are only available with premium unlocker, which means users will have to pay for the application.

Other changes added in this update include some fixes for genre issues with some devices, as well as better artist/album sorting.

Rocket Music Player 1.3.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
