Rock Band: The New Fender Stratocaster Controller

I've been playing guitar for 14 years now and hell, no! I know that many eyes will turn on me in anger as I say that Guitar Hero and the new crap, Rock Band suck big time. I simply don't agree with the idea of acting stupid and calling this a great deal of fun.


Indeed, I first thought that Guitar Hero will end up as sudden as it appeared but it looks like there are more tone-deaf people who want to be rockstars in their bedrooms rather than laying hands on a real rock-axe and start working their asses out learning how to actually play.

And since Guitar Hero looked far from being enough in the field, Rock Band is another piece of crap "game" that will let you control more instruments, such as guitars, bass, drums and hopefully not, microphones and vocal parts. This piece of news relates to the new controller for Rock Band, in the shape of a Fender Stratocaster.

Not that mocking a Strat would be utter blasphemy (I actually am a Jackson guy) but the whole thing is ridiculous. There have been added five more buttons (can you imagine the complexity?) in the lower side of the guitar neck for soloing purposes; the tremolo bar can now display its full capabilities in the middle of a shredding solo played along with some Children of Bodom parts... Neat! NOT!

There are so many monumental figures that have taken the Strat to the position of mankind's history-making tool, names like Clapton, Hendrix, Malmsteen and the list goes ever on... now it's time to crap around acting stupid with a dumb guitar-mockery around your neck, dressed in a ridiculous way and pretending you rock the planet. Damn, that is pathetic AND embarrassing... people, go find something else, please!
