Harmonix and MTV Games, the dream team behind the success of Rock Band and Rock Band 2, have announced that they plan to deliver a wide array of new songs to all the versions of the game and they have surely delivered on that promise.

The Rock Band Music Store was updated this week with new downloadable tracks for the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft renderings, the Wii Music Store got back catalog titles from a variety of bands, while Rock Band Unplugged players can now enjoy Radiohead and Killswitch Engage.

On the two HD home consoles, players are able to enjoy a Dead Weather pack, including songs like “Hang You From the Heavens,” “No Hassle Night” and “Treat Me Like Your Mother” taken from the Horehound album that the band debuted with.

The three songs arrived on July 14, on the same date as the band, headed by Jack White of The White Stripes fame, launched its album and players also got three live songs as performed by Judas Priest, made up of “Dissident Aggressor (Live),” “Eat Me Alive (Live)” and “Prophecy (Live),” while fans of Big Dipper will be able to download “All Going Out Together,” “She’s Fetching” and “Younger Bums.” Each of the packs can be obtained for 5.49 dollars and each track costs 1.99.

Wii players of Rock Band will can now rock with Evanescence, The Killers, Foreigner, Maroon 5, The Pixies and Spinal Tap contributing tracks, while those who are interested in the PlayStation Portable version, called Unplugged, can play along with Killswitch Engage’s “My Curse” and Radiohead’s “My Iron Lung.”

Harmonix is getting ready to launch The Beatles Rock Band this fall, on September 9, and is betting that the star power of The Beatles will be able to attract gamers more than the plethora of Guitar Hero releases that Activision is preparing.
