A new innovative concept coming from Samsung

Samsung is one of the handset producers that has brought the largest number of interesting phone concepts over the last period. Continuing that line, the company also unveils their phone cradle idea, one with an actual possibility of being made real and with some useful applications.

Using the mobile phone and its hands free equipment in a car becomes even easier when the phone can be safely placed somewhere at reach. An external cradle or dock for a cellphone may be an answer for bringing a maxium amount of comfort in using it.

Regular cradles only manage to occupy even more space, even though mobile phones are usually quite small. Samsung has solved this problem by designing a cradle that comes out of the handset's case parts in a simple and innovative way. All that the user has to do is to couple the phone to the rotatable hinge on the handset's body.

The patent seems to be pretty simple and efficient, as it uses only the handset's parts. The phone's battery becomes an important element with some easy steps to follow. After just a few simple modifications made to the phone's structure, the device becomes ready to be used in order to watch a video on the handset anywhere. Most probably, this will not be at home, as a PC or any other device equipped with a larger screen would prove to be more suitable.

The greatest advantage that this cradle system has to bring is that of portability. The handset owner does not have to pack any other accessories, but just the phone itself. The concept standing at the basis of this patent will probably suit best those who often feel the need for a place to keep their handset in balance and safety. Using it in the car sounds as the most plausible one, as there are little to no chances of choosing the mobile phone for watching a video long enough for your hand to go numb.
