Will sell keyboards with iPhone, Android and Bluetooth docks later this year

If you were wondering what Roccat has been doing, you'll find that it is a two-pronged campaign.

One thing is that it has released a phone app, and a companion PC app, that enable peoples' smartphones to control certain aspects of a PC.

There are four grids, one of which, the Incoming Centre, displays Skype, Facebook and TeamSpeak messages, as well as other, undefined ones.

The System Stats block, when brought to the fore, displays CPU load and heat, plus RAM usage, HD access and network speed.

Thirdly, there is the Sound Control block, which does exactly what it says on the tin: show sound volumes and mixers, even allowing for adjustments.

Finally, the fourth block (Custom Tab) is the one that actually works in concert with the PC app and stores game command macros and such.

Roccat intends to launch a series of keyboards with phone docks (and standalone docks) later this year (2012). iPhone, Android and other Bluetooth phones will be supported, down to (probably) Windows 8 ones (if any are made). Go here to apply for the BETA of this Power-Grid project.
