One would think that a mouse pad wasn’t something a company would be able to write down much about, but Roccat's Taito Shiny Black Gaming Mousepad just proved that idea totally wrong.

Roccat has just made an official announcement regarding what it calls the “legendary” Taito Shiny Black Gaming Mousepad.

A mousepad's role is twofold: one purpose is to give the mouse sensor a suitable surface to glide over, while the second is to offset the hand pressure.

All customers have different play styles and, obviously, differently built hands and wrists.

Thus, Roccat decided to make and release its latest products.

“The Taito has long been a favorite with gamers. We've received a tremendous amount of thanks over the years from players who've said the Taito has made their gaming infinitely better and much more fun,” says Rene Korte, ROCCAT founder and CEO.

“And that's what it's all about. So we decided it was time to expand the line and offer players even more. We've taken a gaming phenomenon and pushed it even further. We can't wait for the reaction from fans.”

The new pads have thicknesses of 3mm or 5mm (0.11 and 0.19 inches).

The Mini-Taito measures 265 x 210 mm (10.43 x 8.26 inches), the Mid-Taito hovers at 400 x 320 mm (15.74 x 14.56 inches) and the King-sized Taito measures 455 x 370 mm (17.91 x 14.56 inches).

The larger two are for gamers who like their dpi settings low, which means that their mouse swipes are wider than for other people.

Finally, the “heat-blasted Nano Matrix” gaming surface optimizes gliding speed in all direction and there is even a non-slip rubberized backing, to prevent the pad from sliding during intense gaming sessions.

The newcomers have prices of 9.99 Euro to 22.99 Euro ($12.76 to $29.36). As implied by the aforementioned two thicknesses and three sizes, there are six models in total.
