Roccat, a company that specializes in the design of gaming peripheral products, is preparing the launch of its second gaming mouse, following the much-appreciated Roccat Kone we reviewed early this year. The new mouse, which has already surfaced on the company's website, is dubbed Kova and will provide gaming users with some of the features that have been enabled on the aforementioned Kone mouse, but in a more affordable package. In addition, the Roccat Kova also sports an ambidextrous design, making it an ideal choice for a wider range of users.

Specifically designed for gaming enthusiasts and those high-end users who spend their time breaking new records, the new Kova gaming mouse sports a 3200DPI gaming sensor, featuring an enhanced optical sensor technology. Additional features include a v-shape design to accommodate the needs of both left- and right-handed users, 20G acceleration, Roccat's GRIPTECH side areas and a coated mouse wheel, providing users with an optimum grip to ensure the best performance.

The mouse comes with no less than 5 (+2) mouse buttons and a 2 meter-long cable, as well as an integrated, customizable lighting system, which informs the user on the selected DPI setting. Although the mouse will most likely be offered with a specific software application to enable users to take full advantage of its features, the Kova can be easily configured even without the software. Users can select different dpi configurations and switch between right- and left-handed modes, with no additional software.

There's no word on when Roccat's new Kova mouse will be made available on the market, or with what price tag, for that matter, but the company is clearly gearing up to provide its customers with a new product that follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Roccat Kone.
